Ok I think I have an idea of what to do about my aforementioned task now. What I would like to know though is how to prevent the image from disappearing when I do things like maximize the MFC window or minimize and reopen it. This happens with both Aimevous' and Jorg's code (see link). Thanks again...

How to transform window coordinate to dicom image coordinate
Hi all,
I want to draw scout lines on the images and move/ rotate scout lines,
so i need pickup the mouse point and transform the point to the image volume coordinate.
Is there any way to tranaform coordinate (window to volume)?
sombody can show some sample code.
