Do you use storescp as the receiver? If so, can you try running it with --single-process?

Hi, there is no rule that limits the output of a VOI LUT to 8 bits. You must ensure yourself that you scale the output range to the available input range of your display (adapter). Also I think there are displays that accept for example 10 bit input (P.S: But I dont know why it makes sense;). Best, ...

Hi, DcmSCP and DcmStorageSCP both cannot handle the C-MOVE message. DcmSCP does not automatically handle anything but allows you to implement your own SCP. DcmStorageSCP does exactly that. It implements a DICOM Storage SCP by using DcmSCP's API methods. However, implementing Storage as an SCP means,...

You can only use the C-MOVE-RSP status report messages I quoted above. A final one is issued in the end, however, it is optionally allowed to send one after each image that has been transferred. If you do not have those optional messages, you cannot measure C-MOVE progress.

Michael

Yes, that's how it works. For FGInterface::read() you should provide the main dataset. FGInterface will extract the data from the Per-Frame and Shared Functional Group Sequence which are part of the main dataset level. Thus the whole dcmfg library is meant for working with these two sequences (for t...

Hi, kind of. There is a module called dcmfg which permits you to access each of these items (called Functional Groups in DICOM, hence the name dcmfg) by frame number, using a dedicated API. However, not all functional groups (i.e. attribute collections) are supported. But some common ones are there....

Hi, what do you mean, as a PACS (Storage SCU) in order to notify to the original MOVE requestor (Retrieve SCU)? In that case according to the DICOM Retrieve protocol requirements, a final C-MOVE-RSP is (always) sent to the MOVE requestor, including the overall status and the number of files that tra...

Hi,

just to be sure...all thee attributes actually appear on the same level, i.e. not in different items of a Sequence?

Hi Evan,

Being not a JPEG expert myself (at this level), I'll leave this question to my colleague Marco who implemented the codec in DCMTK ;)

Marco, do you have an explanation?

Best,
Michael

For me this looks like an invalid JPEG stream, maybe with lots of zeroes at the beginning? I don't think this has to do with meta data like Bits Allocated and the like.

Best,
Michael

What is the output of the tool when invoking it with -d?

Hi,

first try dcmdjpeg to decode the file. Use option -d to see details of what is going on. Maybe the log output already gives a good hint.

Michael

Probably they (VS) also only run cmake in the background based on our project files, so this should work out of the box, too (did not try it though).

Did you enable the i2d library in CMake, or libiconv? If so, you would have to get and link against the related libraries.

Best,
Michael
