What tools do I need to make dcmtk on windows?
I installed cmake and have Microsoft Visual studio, but I don't see a project file in the source tree....
Uhmm... maybe gcc?

Re: no header on dicom file from getscu?
I will try to reproduce.. It's bound to happen...
If I'm not mistaken it happens when the device written to (-od /Volumes/ExternalDrive) is a firewire or usb drive.

Re: no header on dicom file from getscu?
Adding the +B option seems to fix this.
CAVEAT: I'm sure I tried this and on my mac it produced some images with extra 0s at the end of the file.

no header on dicom file from getscu?
I am running getscu from 3.6.1. I was trying to import data that was retrieved using getscu but the data is failing to import. I looked at the header of the dicom file but it seems to be missing the 128 bytes of zero followed by the "DICM" bytes... Other than that the file looks fine.... 0...

Re: getscu 3.6.1 libiconv2.dylib
Can you see from the source code if DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH might be useful?

Re: getscu 3.6.1 libiconv2.dylib
I got a copy from D.C. I understand your question.. Didn't you make dcmtk on your system? No. It was made on another system and then the executable was copied to the target platform. but it would appear that the executable is searching for a dynamic link library in the same path as where the dylib w...

3.6.1 getscu
I've noticed a few things about getscu. 1) it seems to have a dependancy on libiconv.2.dylib which on macs is not always in the same directory as where getscu is looking for it. 2) +B option, when I used it created corrupted binary files with what I believe have extra nulls at the end of the file. I...

getscu 3.6.1 libiconv2.dylib

Should I be making links from /usr/lib to...

Why doesn't my dcmtk installation have getscu?
As the subject says, my installation of dcmtk doesn't seem to have a getscu command in the bin directory. Is this normal? Was I supposed to build it myself as it's not part of a standard distro? (I'm on mac os x) /usr/local/bin/dcmtk/dcmtk-3.6.0-mac-i686-dynamic/bin dcm2pdf dcmcjpls dcmdjpls dcmftes...

move a series using movescu
I have a series UID and I want to have my PACS send it to a third part. i.e. There is a storescp running who will receive the series. 1) As our PACS can be quite slow to deliver the series is there any special precautions I should take when invoking the movescu command? 2) Assuming there is no timeo...

Re: find scu parameters?
Thank you. It seems that the -O,-P,-S parameter still requires you to specify QueryRetrieveLevel=PATIENT or STUDY.
This is what confused me. Is it just me or doesn't that seem redundant?

while doing a recursive send (storescu)
It seems that while I was going through a very large directory with lots of dicom images on of the images was corrupted.
This aborted storescu.
Why couldn't it just log the error and continue on?
