Hi John, Hello Mike, I am trying to import dicom data in the NAS to a PACS server. The amount of data is about 1.6TB. After a few attempts of importing these huge amount of data, I discovered that about 60%~70% of the data failed to import. When I look at the dicom headers of these failed files, I f...

Hi, inserting items does only work in snapshots, not in dcmodify 3.5.4 version. Also its not possible to do this with 3.5.4 libraries, because i added the path feature later, sorry! Inserting the tags with the old version only works if the Sequence and the item within already exist. So, why not just...

Dear Giuseppe, I just tried your call with dcmodify from the current snapshot and it seems to work for me. That is the result (extract from dcmdump output) in the file: (0008,2228) SQ (Sequence with explicit length #=1) # 18, 1 PrimaryAnatomicStructureSequence (fffe,e000) na (Item with explicit leng...

Hi John, are you sure about the tag? (0002,0003) is part of the meta header of the DICOM file. The meta header contains for example some (meta header) version information and the application that wrote the file. If the DICOM file is opened and re-saved, then the meta header is also partly re-written...

Hi, you could use storescp's configuration file option to exactly specify the SOP classes and transfer syntaxes to be negotiated: -xf --config-file [f]ilename [p]rofile: string use profile p from config file f DCMTK ships with an example file in dcmnet/etc, look for storescp.cfg. DCMTK does not cont...

Dear number, Sorry, your question is difficult to understand and has nothing to do with DMCTK. If you want to know whether you should store DICOM images/objects inside the table or inside the filesystem (and only links to that in the database): I think that's a question of taste, but from my knowled...

Hi Kamil, dcmqrdb only uses an index file to manage DICOM studies/series/images in the archive. Since the index file is just searche from start to end for an incoming request, I expect the performance being a littlebit worse than a database in the very beginning but extremely worse compared to a DB ...

Hi Ivan, unfortunately non of the DICOM team members at OFFIS has experiences with BCC32, but we are happy that you got this going for you. For me, all your changes do not look critical, so chance are good everything is running fine ;) If you experience any problems and/or find solutions, feel welco...

Dear D :) The response files are mainly for debugging. They are DICOM files, hence they can be read and displayed by dcmdump or by any DICOM parser. Many people also integrate findscu loosely into their product, i.e. they start findscu, produce response files and once the call finnished they read th...
