Flexible File Storage

#1 Post by hammad »

Hi

I am using movescu to query PACS Server and storescu to receive the forwarded images. Everything works fine and images are saved in the specified folder naming the folder Patient name _ date_some numbers. I want to maintain the same file structure that is maintain on PACS. Main Folder is named as Patient Name - (Patient ID) and then images are saved in separate folder on basis of series description.

Please guide me as this is creating problem for me .

Storescp (not storescu) does not support this directory scheme. The same is true for dcmrecv, another DCMTK tool that implements a DICOM Storage SCP. Of course, it is possible to enhance the tools in this respect. I personally would choose dcmrecv since its source code is easier to understand and, therefore, easier to extend.

dcmrecv is part of the current DCMTK release 3.6.2.
