I couldn't find any functionality to change the planar configuration in

. Is there any other command line tool in dcmtk that allows such modification of an uncompressed dicom image?

dcmodify is a low-level tool that does not know anything about the DICOM image format.

Are you talking about changing the color-by-pixel vs. color-by-plane format of the Pixel Data element? No, there is no such ready-to-use tool in the DCMTK. You might find a way with dcmscale or dcmcjpeg/dcmdjpeg...
