Hi All,
Is there anything Dcmtk provide which can allow PACS client user to delete study in PACS from client application?
The situation is: PACS Client is sending study to PACS and in between user press cancel button, PACS store images those sent before cancel.
Now there is partial study available in PACS and now user don't want to send that study to PACS so is there any way i can delete that partial study in PACS from client.
Thank you
Ashish

Hi,
there is no DICOM way (i.e. DICOM service) to do that.
IHE does propose to submit a Key Object Selection document in order to "soft-delete" images. They will not really be erased but instead will be hidden when requested by regular Query/Retrieve request. Look at IHEs IOCM profile. Some PACSes actually support this.
Best,
Michael
P.S: Not a DCMTK question

P.S: I only posted the link to an IOCM extension, not the IOCM profile itself, which is already part of the IHE Technical Framework for Radiology. You can find it here:
