CMake update for DCMTK from CTK-Hackfest

#1 Post by pkitslaar »

I found the following website while searching for DCMTK and CMake related stuff: http://www.commontk.org/index.php/CTK-Hackfest-May-2010
One of the topics mentions: Unified CMake for DCMTK (Michael, JJ, Dan, Jc)

Can somebody confirm that this could be an effort to make DCMTK build with CMake for all platforms? I noticed that one of the participants (Micheal Onken) is from OFFIS.

Best regards,

Pieter Kitslaar

I can confirm this :-) However, this does not mean that we will drop the established GNU autoconf stuff (soon).

Thanks for the confirmation. Any idea when the updated CMakeLists.txt files will be added to the public GIT repository?

Best regards,

Pieter

I guess this will be done sometime in the next couple of weeks ... or in other words: as time permits.

Hello Michael,

That's good news! Looking forward to seeing the CMake support being improved.

Are you also planning on setting up a dashboard. If so let me know so maybe we can provide build reports for various platforms.

Best regards,

Pieter

Hi Pieter,

thank you for the nice offer -- we will indeed setup a dashboard at Kitware (actually there is already one for testing), so we would be very happy if you help us out with some platform testing in the future :-)

I will announce the unix cmake support here and then come back to your offer :-)

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Pieter,

today I ported CTK's unix cmake approach to the public DCMTK including many changes. You can get the current version from our git mirror (no snapshot so far). I hope everything works fine for you. Please provide bug reports or any other issues you find.

For the dashboard, please have a little more patience :)

Best regards,
Michael

P.S: The changes are not updated so far in the git web interface since the underlying script is missing something...just wait a little before trying...

Hello Michael,

I just read your posts. I will see if I can get the latest version running here and will keep you informed.
