can't run storescu in my computer

i try to run storescu but always got following error:
Warning: no data dictionary loaded, check environment variable: DCMDICTPATH
storescu: Store Failed, file: 1.dcm:
0006:0213 Data dictionary missing
storescu: SCU Failed:
0006:0213 Data dictionary missing

how could i solve this problem?

I read the documentation.... I have the environment variable set...
DCMDICTPATH=/opt/local/lib/dicom.dic
-rw-r--r-- 2 root admin 129444 May 13 16:26 /opt/local/lib/dicom.dic

What did I miss?

Did you also check the content of the "dicom.dic" file? And what's the output of "echo $DCMDICTPATH"?

echo $DCMDICTPATH
shows /opt/local/lib/dicom.dic
as shown in the previous post...
the file looks like a dicom dictionary to me.
It has columns for group,element, vr, multiplicity, version etc...
