I guess we've solved this issue now by simply removing the version check for "darwin". See the corresponding commit.

I hope that this fix also work on your system. We would appreciate your feedback!

I certainly will test this out. Truthfully, now that I have it on my laptop, it is so incredibly useful that I almost don't want to mess with it (but I promise I will). Probably not until this weekend at the earliest, though. Thanks again for all the help. It is working on the Mac fantastically!

Just FYI,

on my Mac OS X 10.7.2 with dcmtk-3.6.0 and cmake 2.5.8:

$ ./configure && make
fails with u_long errors as reported in previous posts

$ mkdir build && cd build && cmake ../ && make
is successful

Thanks for the feedback!

Would it also be possible to test the current snapshot or the current development version from out git repository with GNU autoconf / configure?

Yes, on Mac 10.7.2, the current snapshot (dcmtk-3.6.1_20110922) builds successfully with:
$ ./configure && make

Xcode 4.3 information...

#22 Post by russes »

If you upgrade to Xcode 4.3 & are building with CMake, you may find that the switch to the Clang compiler & the relocation of the tools out of /Developer will break your build.

I do have a copy of the git 3.6.1 tree building under Xcode 4.3. If you need it, let me know.
