dircomdir files with extensions

its possible to create dicomdir - files with dicomwithfiles with extensions ?

i have a software - this software want a dicomfiles with the ".dcm" - Extensions - and to the same time i need a DICOMDIR - File.

The DICOM DIR - Creator want files without extensions is possible to ignore this fact with a property ? or a trick ?

No, this is not possible, since it would break the rules of the DICOM standard. There is no workaround for this in DCMTK, and we don't plan to implement any. If your application needs ".dcm" extensions, then you cannot create a DICOMDIR and vice versa.
