change image (or create a new dcm file with exact the same tags)

#1 Post by aykutucar »

Hi
is it possible to change the image of a dcm file with anoher image?
Or create a new dcm file with exact the same tags and a different image?
And it should be done with commandline tools.
Any help is appreciated.
regards.

Forgot to say that all the image properties will be the same except the size and the image itself

You could use dcmdump with option +W, replace the raw file and then use dump2dcm. But what is the background of your question? Usually, it's not a good idea to replace the pixel data only (see corresponding postings in comp.protocol.dicom).
