Hello,
I am using dcmqrscp to receive DICOM images from OsiriX (a dicom viewer).
Is there a way to delete a specific file (or study) from the database? I looked at the documentation of movescu and dcmqridx but I didn't find my answer.
Thanks

Hi Adrien,
there is a very "sophisticated" way of deleting ...
delete the DICOM file, then delete the index file and rebuild it with dcmqridx. There is no other way of removing a specific file.
With movescu it's not possible because there is no DICOM command to delete files from a database, so dcmqrscp does not have any mechanisms for that (unfortunately). In large parts the code goes back to the RSNA demo implementation (it was made for) in 1993. However, it should be not too complicated to build such a functionality into dcmqridx -- but nobody has done it yet.
Regards,
Michael
