Re: sendEchoRequest anwers with an abort

Do you call

Code: Select all

setPeerHostName(<host>)
and

Code: Select all

setPeerPort(<port>)
somewhere?

Re: sendEchoRequest anwers with an abort

Hi Horst,

thank you for the details (I assume that DcmClient is derived from DcmSCU). I will have a look.

Best regards,
Michael

Re: sendEchoRequest anwers with an abort

Hi,

it looks like there was no connection at all, i.e. the server is not reachable (behind firewall, wrong IP/port, etc.). At least I think that such a problem would result in the same log.

Otherwise I have no idea what might be the problem.

Re: #define ssize_t long causes error with other library - how to proceed safely?

Hi, in DCMTK ssize_t is by definition of "long" has least 32 bit while in hdf5 it needs to be at least 64 bit wide (definition "long long"). So my impression is: tha if you only use the typedef from hdf5 I would not see a problem, and there should not be a problem (of course, if you compile on 32 bi...

Re: How to populate request MessageId when deriving from DcmScu

Hi,

yes, I understand, thanks for pointing me to the Move Originator Message ID which I did not have in mind.
I pushed the patch to our internal testing branch and it will be available the next time we forward this to master.

Thanks for contributing :)

Best regards,
Michael

Re: Video trasnfer syntax question

Hi,

Currently DCMTK knows nothing about video codecs (and their validity in DICOM) at all, so there are no checks available.

Maybe dciodvfy from Clunies dicom3tools checks them? I don't know.

Re: How to populate request MessageId when deriving from DcmScu

Hi Jøger,

Your assumption is correct - another assumption was that there is no need to manually choose a Message ID at all, what is your use case to do so?

Re: Probably interfacting Orthanc MWL server with GE DX Modality

Hi Stephen,

this is a DCMTK-based forum so asking this questions makes more sense in the Orthanc Community or GE community (?), or in comp.protocols.dicom newsgroups.

Thank you, please post everything for the new one before the responses from the server come in (all before the words "DIMSE receiveCommand") or include the 1-2 responses if it fits.

Re: Findscu.exe: Change of behaviour in dcmtk-3.6.7-win64-dynamic

Yes, but the actual results are printed to stderr as far as I remember and the & does not create a new file I think.

Anyway, you should use -d on both findscu calls (old and new) and check whether the request (C-FIND-REQ message in the logs) is actually the same.

Best,
Michael

It doesn't seem to work with "2>&1"
sorry, try findscu ... 2> kolla_new2.txt. (i.e. without the "&"). Make sure you delete the old file first to make sure the findscu call creates it.

Re: Findscu.exe: Change of behaviour in dcmtk-3.6.7-win64-dynamic

Coudl you please try instead of

Code: Select all

findscu ... > kolla_new.txt
this:

Code: Select all

findscu ... 2>&1 kolla_new.txt
Probably you are looking at an old file (to make sure: delete kolla_new.txt and make sure it is re-created by findscu).

Best,
Michael
