Re: Upgrading 3.6.1 (via aptitude) to 3.6.2

(I can confirm that if I get all my build utilities installed, I can compile DCMTK 3.6.2 over the top of 3.6.0) which solves my problem. However, I can't help but think that it's seems quite a laborious task when documentation states that a much simpler approach is possible, using the yet to be disc...

Re: Upgrading 3.6.1 (via aptitude) to 3.6.2

Of all options, it would appear that this can only be done by setting the DCMDICTPATH environment variable. I have tried the following on multiple instances of Ubuntu server 14.04.5LTS: With no DCMTK installed, successfully compiled DCMTK with no options, which places binaries in /usr/local/bin With...

Upgrading 3.6.1 (via aptitude) to 3.6.2

All, I've been struggling a little to get DCMTK 3.6.1 upgraded to 3.6.2 (for BT support). I'm working on Ubuntu Server 14.04.5 LTS and installed dcmtk using "apt-get install -y dcmtk". This has worked extensively for me for a while now, but with no presentation context for BT studies, I now require ...

Re: Negotiate JPEG2000 Lossless without the J2K license?

That's what I thought too (and certainly ILE was higher in the order to negotiate with), but in my testing I tried another command line utility (dcm4che) and that sent the same files just fine, as JPEG2000, without any further changes to the SCP

Negotiate JPEG2000 Lossless without the J2K license?

I understand that DCMTK can be downloaded without a license and that enables a LOT of functionality and that there is an additional license for converting images to JPEG2000. However assuming that I don't have a J2K license, will storescu still negotiate a JPEG2000 Lossless transfer syntax, either u...

Re: img2dcm converting JPG/BMP to DCM

Michael / Herr Riesmeier, A brief follow up on this - is there any way that img2dcm can process multiple (eg) JPGs and store them into a single DICOM file? I understand that the older SC IOD is a single frame, but with the "-nsc" switch I wondered if there's a way of storing a multiframe SC? I've tr...

Re: img2dcm converting JPG/BMP to DCM

Michael,
It does thank you - I also found your other post about storescu and proposing JPEG8 for SC which helped me immensely.

Thanks again

Re: img2dcm converting JPG/BMP to DCM

Ok, message received and understood (and now using the "converted" SC.dcm file, I'm now getting different issues, but I think I can handle that)... One thing that I should ask though : in the documentation (which I've been using for a few years now and have printed out into it's own binder) it's a l...

img2dcm converting JPG/BMP to DCM

I'm having a hell of a time trying to work out what's wrong with a conversion of a number of jpg (or bmp) files to DICOM. img2dcm -df SC.dump -sc t2-00.jpg t2-00.dcm When I run this, I get W: DcmItem: Length of element (230a,2323) is odd E: DcmElement: Unknown Tag & Data (230a,2323) larger (58950531...

Re: jpc_dec_decodepkts failed

The error message actually indicates that the JPEG 2000 decoder found the JPEG 2000 bitstream incorrect and bailed out. That means you've either found a bug in DCMJP2K at your first try, or you have started with a defective image (being the author of the module, I hope for the latter of course :win...

jpc_dec_decodepkts failed

I've just obtained a trial version of the dcm[c|d]jp2k_e binary and when I'm attempting a "simple" decode from 1.2.4.91 (JPEG2000) I'm getting a jpc_dec_decodepkts failed error response, with JPEG 2000 codec error: decompressing file view0001.dcm failure. When run in verbose mode, I see the license ...

Flipping Image Data according to View Code Sequence

Are there any tools within the DCMTK that will flip pixel data according to the View Code Sequence (0054,0220) tag and subsequent IHE profile codes? From what I've searched for thus far, the only mention of flipping is found within DICOMscope or within dcm2pnm. I'm not looking at converting the DICO...
