renaming the file copied using movescu

#1 Post by Jyoti »

Hi,

While working with movescu, I noticed that the file that is queried and transferred as part of the movescu command has a name different from the original file. It is named using its SOPInstanceUID value. Is it possible to :

1. Retain the same name as the original file?
2. Give some new name according to my choice?

Looking at the man pages, I could not find any option which would allow me to do both or either of the above tasks.

Please let mw know if this is possible.

Thanks
Jyoti

The DICOM storage service does not copy files and, therefore, the filename is not transferred to the receiver. You could e.g. use the "storescp" to create shorter filenames (see man page).
