Read DICOM files from memory (char*)

Hello.

I develop a DICOM rendering with VTK in connection with a JAVA Web-Service.
The user send some DICOM images to the Web-Service and JNA passes a pointer to the DICOM files in the RAM from the JAVA side to C++-VTK.
I have now the problem that I can only find help with reading DICOM files from HDDbut not from memory (RAM).
Is it somehow possible with DICOM Toolkit to read in a char-array containing all the DICOM files?

I need to read in the dicom informations and than process them with VTK.
Do you know how I can use the read informations in VTK?

But I need to read in a stream (char*) of DICOM files, not a directory or physically files.
The link from Jörg Riesmeier does maybe what I want, but I don't know how to process DcmFileFormat in VTK.

Can you help me with this, please?

Maybe dcm4chee (dcm4che2) with vtk-java bindings could be your solutions.
