use of Dcmtk in a program?

i want to use dcmtk in my program i read install file and follow steps but i was unable to use it.i got error such lib. does not exist.please tell me some something where i can see step by step process to use dcmtk? i am using vs2010 and win7 64-bit.please refer some tutorial or eplain me correct procedure?

What exactly is the error message. Are you trying to compile 64-bit code?

And, btw, please avoid double postings.
