I have DCMTK v.3.5.2 on Linux RedHat 9a running WLMSCPFS to query DICOM Worklist files .WL.
Now we have a new Modality that queries the StudyInstanceUID for each scheduled task.
Unfortunately my .WL files are so structured:
(0008,0005) CS ISO_IR 100
(0008,0050) SH 113302010
(0010,0010) PN GUERNELLI^GIANCARLO
(0010,0020) LO 10448400
(0010,0030) DA 19300620
(0010,0040) CS M
(0032,1060) LO RM CERVICALE - SENZA CONTRASTO
(0008,0060) CS MR
(0040,0001) AE
(0040,0002) DA 20110506
(0040,0003) TM 151000
(0040,0007) LO RM CERVICALE - SENZA CONTRASTO
(0040,0010) SH
(0040,1003) SH HIGH
Is it possible to create a UID for each .WL file using DCMTK ?
If yes what is the command line syntax ?
Thank u very much

First of all, I would recommend that you switch to the current DCMTK release 3.6.0!
Then, you usually don't want to have a different Study Instance UID for each individual worklist entry (aka scheduled procedure step) because of grouping and other use cases.
However, you can e.g. use dcmodify with option --gen-stud-uid in order to generate a new value for the Study Instance UID (0020,000d) element.
