Hi,
we try using DICOM to store proprietary data without PixelData. Is this conform with the DICOM standard and is there a provided possibility to tag the Dicom file as such a kind of file?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
there are different kind of objects, i.e. documents, defined in DICOM which can be stored to an archive. Some of them are of type image, others are not.
The image types all need the attribute pixel data, others like the Raw Data object store different data.
Please note that all DICOM objects require specific attributes and several rules restrict the possible values of those attributes. You can learn from DICOM part 3 which attributes need to be in which objects (look for Information Object Definitions -- IODs -- and the respective modules they reference).
Best regards,
Michael
