Hello all,
I am working with MR modality images. Sometimes these images have tags rescale intercept/rescale slope. Reading comp.protocols.dicom the posts say that you should not use intercept/slope on MR modality images.
So does the class dcmimgle/dcmimage which uses intercept/slope before giving you the pixel data take this into account if modailty is MR? Or can MR still use (and should?) really use these tags too?
Thanks,
Mark

The module dcmimgle always [1] uses the values of Rescale Slope/Intercept if these attributes are present in the dataset. If you don't want this you have the choice to disable the modality LUT transformation by setting the flag CIF_IgnoreModalityTransformation in the constructor of class DicomImage.
