What is the Standard Target for GSDF

#1 Post by xfjsuperking »

Hi All,
In DICOM standards related with GSDF, a Standard Target is used to define the GSDF, which is described as

the Standard Target consisting of a 2-deg x 2-deg square filled with a horizontal or vertical
grating with sinusoidal modulation of 4 cycles per degree

Does anyone know what is the Standard Target or is there any image of the Standard Target?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings!
Simon

This question is not related to the DCMTK but...

The definition from Part 4 of the DICOM standard is rather academic (as it is also explained later in this document). You can see an example of this "Standard Target" in Figure D.1-1 (The test pattern will be a variable intensity square in the center of a low Luminance background area).
