imagectn and JPEG Lossless

#1 Post by Brazillian »

Hello,
I need to use imagectn to receive dicom files in JPEG Lossless
format. I know that StoreSCP make this, but all my configurations
is on imagectn tool and I can not change now. Is there a simple
way to do this ?

Can any one help me?

thanks

Daniel

imagectn does not support image transfer in any compressed transfer syntax, so there is no simple way to do this without major modification of the tool itself.

storescp and lossless

#3 Post by Brazillian »

Hello Marco,
Thanks for your answer.

I change to storescp server and its work fine to my compressed images. But I still have a doubt. The storescp server decodes the image and after encoded again in the receiving
process ? Or its only check de transfere syntax UID for this ? I ask you because de server works very fast and I believe no decode/code is done. This question is pertinent because I need make de storescp works also for RLE compression standard. Is possible make this without use a RLE algorithm ?

thank you so much again.

The storescp does not decompressed images. In order to support RLE compressed images use option +xr (--prefer-rle) or an appropriate association negotiation profile (option -xf or --config-file, respectively).
