Procedure to use binaries by CLI (Command Line Interface)

#1 Post by ricardo.couto »

I just downloaded “DCMTK 3.6.0 - executable binaries” - DCMTK 3.6.0 for Windows (32 bit) - dcmtk-3.6.0-win32-i386.zip, unziped and tryed to use executable files in Windows.

I have a KODAK 5850 DRY Printer:

DESCRIPTION = KODAK
AE Title = DV5850DRE
IP Address = 192.168.0.123
Port = 5040

Some files:

$ grep dry /etc/hosts
192.168.0.123 dry

../etc/dcmtk/printers.cfg
...
[KODAK]
hostname = dry
type = PRINTER
description = Kodak 5850
port = 5040
aetitle = DV5850DRE

$ dcmpsprt -v -c ../etc/dcmtk/printers.cfg -p KODAK RICARDO.dcm
W: unable to select printer 'KODAK', ignoring.
I: loading image file 'RICARDO.dcm'
I: writing DICOM grayscale hardcopy image to database.
W: writing DICOM stored print object to database.
I: Application terminated

I didn`t run another executable. So, I didn`t create Spool and Service.

So, I can`t print a dicom file by Command Line Interface (CLI).

Do you have a procedure to configure and print DICOM files by CLI?

Tkanks a lot.

The tool dcmprscu is the actual print client, if this was the question. You could also use dcmpsprt with the --spool option...
