Can Waveform reference to DICOM image?

#1 Post by kstn_hut_hat »

Hi everyone,
Now I'm researching about DICOM Waveform.
According to A.34 Waveform IODs PS3.03, each DICOM waveform has a separate modality and has been acquired or created by an acquisition function within an imaging modality.
Can DICOM Waveform reference to DICOM image?
Thanks for support!

Hi,

yes, you can reference images.

Look into the Waveform Identification Module which has the Referenced Instance Sequence for that purpose.

Best,
Michael

P.S: This forum is not meant for general DICOM questions which do not directly relate to DCMTK. The DICOM newsgroup (mirrored at google news) might be a good place for this.
