Delete Old Studies from the Received Folder

#1 Post by hammad »

Hi

I am using movescu to query PACS Server and storescu to receive the forwarded images. Everything works fine and images are saved in the specified folder.
But if i delete or cut the received images and send more images to storescu using movescu it doesn't receive any more images and i have to manually kill the DOS Command and execute the storescu command again.

Please guide me as this is creating problem for me .

I guess that you use storescp and not storescu for receiving the DICOM objects.

In order to help you with your problem: what are the command line arguments you start storescp with? And, do you delete files or directories?

So the answer is easy: don't delete the (output or patient) folder but the files that are stored in it. This is because the folder is not re-created if it is vanished. It is only safe to delete a patient folder if no DICOM objects for the same study are received anymore (or to be more precise: the next DICOM object is not part of the same study).
