Hi All,

Is there anything Dcmtk provide which can allow PACS client user to delete study in PACS from client application?
The situation is: PACS Client is sending sereis to a mini PACS and later it wants to delete that study from PACS. Is there is any command available for this?
Also if the series is esiting in client side needs to notify it to PACS, is there is command for that also?

Hi,

there is no delete command for such purpose in DCMTK since there is none in DICOM.

There is "server please hide some DICOM images from the client for a given reason)" profile in IHE called "Key Image Note (KIN)", which facilitates DICOM measures (Key Object Selection objects) for that.

Most of the time the PACS also offers a proprietary mechanism to delete images (e.g. through administrator web panel).

Best,
Michael

No, this particular IHE Integration Profile is called "IOCM" (Imaging Object Change Management)

Actually both profiles work (but focus on different things overall) and use the same DICOM measures to hide the image objects.
