I received a few mammograms for research. However, these mammogram dicom images are for-processing, so they look quite dark and not optimized for on-screen display. I'm not able to get the paired for-presentation images. So I'm trying to convert them to for-presentation images.
I'm trying to use the command 'dcmpsmk', although I'm not sure if it's the right function I should call for my purpose? If not, any other suggestions?
Anyway, I tried
dcmpsmk "input.dcm" "output.dcm"
the output.dcm is totally empty, all pixel values are zero. I'm sure I made mistakes somewhere!

Re: Failed to convert to presentation image via dcmpsmk
dcmpsmk has nothing to do with "for presentation" mammography images. The purpose of this tool is to create a DICOM Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State object.
