Hi,

Can someone let me know when official dcmtk version compiled with OpenSSL 3.0.0 can be expected?

Regards,
Amal

With "official dcmtk version" you mean those that can be downloaded from www.dcmtk.org or dicom.offis.de?
OFFIS only provides "official" binaries when a new version of source code is released. The next release is planned for beginning of next year.

Hi Jörg,

Thanks for checking on this query.
I am not really looking for the binaries, am planning to upgrade openssl to 3.0.0 version from 1.1.1l for our DICOM library.
Since 3.0.0 is a new branch was thinking will wait till official dcmtk used 3.0.0 version.
This would also help in case of any compatibility issues(though not expected as per openssl documentation).

Just to have some more clarity, can you confirm if you are planning to use openssl 3.0.0 from the next release?

Regards,
Amal

Actually, our internal "testing" branch already supports OpenSSL 3.0.0. The required changes should be visible in the public git branch ("master") pretty soon.

Hi Amal, the changes have now been pushed to the public git repository (see http://git.dcmtk.org/).

Hi Jörg,

Can you please let me know when official dcmtk version compiled with OpenSSL 3.0.0 will release in 2022?
It will help us to schedule our upgradation plan accordingly.

Thanks,
Ankit
