I wondered if DCMTK has the ability to deny transfer of a dcm video file that does not meet the requirements of the Standard. By this I mean, the Standard specifies that MPEG-2 and MPEG4 objects are to be a maximum size of 1920 x 1080, and 4K video should only be used with H.265 transfer syntax.
Our current solution does not abide by this, though I have never encountered an SCP that rejects these videos due to non-conformance of the Standard. Despite the probability of making current customers angry, we would like to tighten up conformance to the standard and just wondered what DCMTK offers to help keep object held to the Standard, if this makes sense.
I'm also curious if anyone has experienced real world issues with 4K video being used in an MPEG4 transfer syntax.
Thanks.

Re: Video trasnfer syntax question
Hi,
Currently DCMTK knows nothing about video codecs (and their validity in DICOM) at all, so there are no checks available.
Maybe dciodvfy from Clunies dicom3tools checks them? I don't know.
Best regards,
Michael
