findscu question

#1 Post by zsomi »

Hello!

I want to use findscu to get the whole list of available dcm files. How could I do this?
Because here:
http://support.dcmtk.org/docs/findscu.html
I read that except for peer and port the arguments are optional, but it gives a mistake, if I don't give any argument.

Thanks for your answer.

Read DICOM part 4, annex C, to get an understanding about how the DICOM Query/Retrieve service works. It does not make too much sense to explain the options and features of findscu (and movescu) unless you have a working understanding of the hierarchical query model that is used in DICOM to identify patients, studies, series and SOP instances (i.e., images).
