3.6.0 RC1 and dcmRT

#1 Post by jwoetzel »

Hi,

I heard about the upcoming dcmtk release "3.6.0-RC1".
dcmRT ist not included.

Is this correct and what is the reason?

This is correct. DCMRT is not yet part of the DCMTK since we are still waiting for the so-called medium-level API. So, the merge between DCMTK and DCMRT will be done after the official release of DCMTK 3.6.0.

Of course, internally we always make sure that the DCMRT module compiles with the latest version of the DCMTK. So, currently the DCMRT source code package, which can be downloaded from our ftp server, consists of the DCMTK plus the DCMRT module (of a certain day).

OK, a true release of dcmtk helps a lot - even without the dcmRT add-on.
Thanks!
