compiling on Tiger

#1 Post by pinetm »

Hi all,

I have successfully installed dcmtk on several Panther platforms, and now I try to have it on a Mac Os X Tiger G5 server.
I get those errors that I don't understand :

c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DNDEBUG -c -I. -I. -I../include -I../../config/include \
-O -I/usr/include/libxml2 -D_REENTRANT -D_XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -D_BSD_COMPAT -D_OSF_SOURCE -D_POSIX_C_SOURCE=199506L -Wall ofstring.cc
/usr/include/bsm/audit.h:219: error: expected %<;%> before '*' token
/usr/include/bsm/audit.h:229: error: expected %<;%> before '*' token
/usr/include/sys/ucred.h:76: error: 'u_long' does not name a type
/usr/include/sys/ucred.h:95: error: 'u_int' does not name a type
/usr/include/sys/attr.h:69: error: 'u_short' does not name a type
/usr/include/sys/attr.h:365: error: 'u_long' does not name a type
/usr/include/sys/attr.h:377: error: 'u_char' does not name a type

Has anyone tried to compile dcmtk with gcc4.0 ? Has it been working on any machine ? (just to figure out if it's the source of trouble)
Does anybody see what I can do to work that out ?

Of course I can take the option to compile it with gcc3.3 but I'd rather do that if nothing else is possible.

So please, any idea is welcome !
