dcmtk configuration error on ubuntu

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to build dcmtk on ubuntu-14.04.1-desktop-amd64 (installed on a virtual box virtual machine). Following the file "INSTALL" i run the command "

Code: Select all

./configure

" but i get the error message "permission denied".
If i try "

Code: Select all

sudo ./configure

" i get the error "./configure: command not found". I try also to set all permissions (chmod 777 *) but i obtained always the same errors.

Any help?

Hi Matteo,

type "ls" in the directory and have a look whether the "configure" file actually there.

Also, if you download from our web site, make sure to not grab the ZIP but the tar.gz instead since the latter provides "configure" files with the right permissions already being set.

The problem was that I grabbed the .zio and not the .tag.gz.
