If I set mask operation to AVG_SUB and mask frame numbers to 1, the viewer shows the same as with mask operation to NONE and no mask frame numbers. Do PACS-systems normally support these tags?

The mask subtraction transformation is not supported by DICOMscope since this was not required according to the original RFP.
