Why DVPSStoredPrint allows to send only one annotation ?

#1 Post by focus »

Hello,

I would like to know if it is for some reason that the DVPSStoredPrint only allow to send one annotation Box to DICOMPrint for filmSession? The only way I have found to send Annotations Box is with method setSingleAnnotation, and every time this method is invoked delete all previous annotations.

Exists another method to send more of one annotation with DVPSStoredPrint? The majority of DICOM Printers allow to send up to 6 annotations Box.

Thanks

As far as I remember, this was a deliberate design decision. From the configuration file "dcmpstat/etc/dcmpstat.cfg" which is also used by DICOMscope:

Code: Select all

# The DICOMscope application provides limited support for the Basic
# Annotation Box SOP Class. When printing on printers supporting
# Annotation, a single annotation can be specified for each print job. This
# setting defines the annotation display format ID and annotation position
# that are used when creating the annotation.
If you need more complex annotations, you should probably have a look at the DCMPRINT module. However, this module is not freely available and must be licensed separately.
