Load study from a CD to PACS

I would like to know how it is possible to load Study stored on a CD or DVD to a PACS server. Is it possible to do that with precompiled dcmtk utilities?

Hi,

no that is not possible without some extra scripting.

You may write a script that runs dcmdump on the media's DICOMDIR and then filter with your script all the file locations inside the file.

Then simply run storescu or even better dcmsend on all file names (with path) in order to send them to the PACS.

You might be interested in a new feature for "dcmsend" that I'm currently working on: Optionally, read the relevant information from a DICOMDIR, i.e. send all referenced DICOM files in the same way as other DICOM files
