image CTN handling of wildcard characters

#1 Post by AlreadyGoogled »

hallo,

i am trying to configure Image CTN to work with my MRI reading software (eFilm) - I am need to return the appropriate response from Image CTN when the MRI program is searching for a study.

ok, but eFilm is adding an '*' to the PatientID and PatientsName parameters - may I assume we are supposed to treat this as a wildcard character? when using Image CTN, do I need to watch out for any other 'special' characters that might mess up the search?

danke,

Helmut

See DICOM standard part 4 section C.2.2.2.4 for wildcard matching. Note that there are also other matching techniques.
