Retrieve data from DCMTK Pacs server by Modality

Hi,

We build the PACS server on linux and we find that all the clients we have handy (Slicer, Osirix, and one other I forgot the name of) cannot retrieve data by
Modality. These clients can retrieve by modality from some of the online free PACS sites.

Is this a bug in the released DCMTK server or a configuration issue?

what do you mean by "Retrieve by Modality"?

Is your question (i.e. your PACS?) related to DCMTK, and if so, how?

I am trying to query DCMTK PACS Server for let say CT only studies but server always responds with all studies.
Modality column in OSIRIX and other DICOM viewers is empty.

Same studies stored on different (not DCMTK server) and queried by the same OSIRIX viewer, have Modality Column filled with the study modality
