From one modality at a hospital when they query our worklist the query is empty
Where we would normally see the following:
I: Association Received (<ip address>:<AEtitle> -> <modalityworklist> )
I: Refusing Association (bad application context)
I: Cleaned up after child (11454)
We are getting:
I: Association Received (<ip address>: -> )
I: Refusing Association (bad application context)
I: Cleaned up after child (11454)
The modality vendor does not seem to know how to resolve this on their end. Is there a way to set the worklist to ignore this? This is dcmtk 3.6

Re: Empty AE in modality worklist query
Hi,
so you use wlmscpfs from DCMTK as your worklist server?
There is no way to ignore the missing AE Title(s). Also, at least the Calling AE Title (what you noted as <modalityworklist>) is mapped by wlmscpfs to a directory where the worklist files are. I.e. if you do not get an AE Title there, it cannot know what directory it should look for.
Probably (I would need to check) are empty AE Titles also trigger a problem in other parts of wlmscpfs.
If one wants to fix this, one have to adapt the AE Titles or change wlmscpfs' source code (let me know if you want me to do this for you, on a non-free basis though).
Best regards,
Michael
