Unable to convert "Jpeg Lossless, Non Hierarchial, 1st Order Prediction

#1 Post by svedagiri »

We have been using the Dicom Offis toolkit for the last few days.
We are able to use SCUStore for sending CT/CR/MRI Images but encountered the following error when trying an Angiogram.

Unable to convert "Jpeg Lossless, Non Hierarchial, 1st Order Prediction" transfer syntax to "LittleEndianExplicit".

Do we need to convert the images using some other tool before doing an SCUsend.

Is there a way to rectify this problem? Please help.

Thanks

You have to specify the corresponding --prefer-xxx option when calling the storescu, e.g. in your case --propose-lossless (or -xs).

An alternative solution would be to use the "association negotiation profiles" which have been introduced with DCMTK 3.5.3 (see documentation for details).

Still getting the same error

I started the storescp with the following command

>storescp +t= 1001

and sent the dicom file seq6 stored in c:\ as follows

> storescu -xs localhost 1001

I also tried with all the other -x? options with the same error

Got the error unable to convert data set from Jpeg Lossless, Non Hierarchial, 1st Order Prediction" to "LittlerEndian"

I think I am missing out something.

There are no errors seen at storescp except that the storescu is failing to send the message after association

I didn't know that you're using "storescp" as a receiver. Just specify the preferred transfer syntax as a command line option, i.e. in your case --prefer-lossless (+xs).
