DICOM image calibration info

#1 Post by Pucho »

Hi to all,
I have been working with DCMTK 3.5.4 since some weeks ago, and I really have a lot of doubts.
I have been able to load and display a DICOM image by using a DcmFileFormat object and later a DicomImage objet.
However I don't know how to get some important info, such as, image calibration, that is, width and height of a pixel in mm, as well as the patient name and some other items.
I know that info is contained in the DICOM image I'm working with, and I suppose I should use some DicomImage member function, but I'm not able to find out how.
Could you help me?
Thanks in advance
Pucho

See examples section in the documentation of module "dcmdata". You can also feed the dataset into a DicomImage constructor, so you don't need to load the DICOM file twice.
