I’m working with these versions :
1) Windows XP service pack 2
2) Visual 6 without the service pack 6
3) OpenSSL and I try 0.9.8a and another one precompiled OpenSSL
4) The DCMTK package is compiled with 0 error but when I compiled the interface package
I have this error message :
Linking...
LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file "libeay32.lib"
Error executing link.exe.
jInterface.dll - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
Question : I want to know if this error is due to non installation of the service pack 6 or OpenSSL ?
If the problem is due to the service pack 6, can I work with new versions of visual studio (2005 or 2008) ?
I found on the web site of DICOMSCOPE, the precompiled OpenSSL which works with DCMTK 3.5.4, but the problem is not resolved.
Can you help me ?

This error indicates that the OpenSSL library is missing.LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file "libeay32.lib"
Please also note that DICOMscope 3.5.1 is pretty old and that, therefore, current releases of the required libraries might not work (without problems). And, if I remember correctly, the name of the OpenSSL library files is different in the Windows support library package for the current DCMTK release 3.5.4.
