Display Image Quality - CT image

#1 Post by alwittta »

Dear friends,

Please find attached two image:
1. http://picasaweb.google.com/alwittta/CT ... 0788049106

2. http://picasaweb.google.com/alwittta/CT ... 6849287762

First image is the screenshot from DicomScope and second image is displayed using another Viewer(Real Time Image IPACS).

The display quality of both the images are different.
In DicomScope, the edges of the images are different from other viewer's same image.
Please find the same images with edges marked.

2. http://picasaweb.google.com/alwittta/CT ... 1323781378

Could anyone please tell me, how to improve the quality of DicomScope Image?

Thanks and Regards
Alvin

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you are talking about. Is your question about image scaling with interpolation?

I would suggest you use a zoom factor of 1 in DICOMscope. If the image quality is better, then the artifacts are caused by the scaling algorithm which is not standardized in DICOM - other viewers may very well use a better technique than the simple bilinear scaling used in DICOMscope.

Alvin, please avoid posting the same question/issue twice without referencing the other posts.
