dcmj2pnm dicom to tiff conversion failed.

#1 Post by decuser »

Hi,

I am trying to covert dicom as tiff file using dcmj2pnm commandline exe.
But it doesnt work and failed with the following errors.

dcmj2pnm -v -d +Tn +ot c:\dc\11.dcm c:\dc\11.tif
reading DICOM file: c:\test\11.dcm
preparing pixel data.
disabling VOI window computation
writing frame 1 to c:\test\11.tif
TIFF: Error writing TIFF header.
cleaning up memory.

Please help me in this regard.

Thanks

Hi,

sorry, that's difficult to debug that way...if possible, send the image to dicom at offis dot de or put it on a server and send us an email with a link if you like.

First questions anyway: What version of the toolkit do you use (3.5.4 or current snapshot?). What kind of image (multiframe? compressed? size?) forces the error?

Regards,
Michael

Hi,

I use version 3.5.4 version. It doesn't work with any dicom images,

I hope i miss something else ..Is it something to do with configuration??

I have only the dcmj2pnm.exe in my folder.

Thanks

This is a known issue for DCMTK version 3.5.4.

Obviously, the API of "libtiff" changed sometime in the past ... this issue will be fixed with the next DCMTK snapshot.
