writing into print config file in run time

#1 Post by sivasankari »

Hello everyone,
Please let me know if there is any way by which we can write to a config file during run time. The class DVInterface is used to retrieve data from the config file .Is there any class to update to a config file.
I want to send data from dcmprscu which uses communication params(AE title, host, port et..) from the config file . My project involves adding and updating of peer params at runtime. So, I think that the only way to solve the problem isto add the parameters to the config file at run time. Please suggest.

Thanks in advance,
Shankari

There is nothing in the toolkit that would allow you to do that, but it is certainly possible. You would have to write the configuration file at runtime, and then restart all the tools (dcmprscu and dcmpssnd instances) that read the configuration file at startup.
