Multiple DVPST_point's not supported ?

#1 Post by LarsKlitgaard »

Using graphicObject.setGraphicType(DVPST_point) and having multi datapoints (X1\Y1\X2\Y2\X3...) in my GSPS causes DicomScope to display only the first dot. If I use polyline I see the full number of dots/lines.
I believe this is a limitation to DicomScope ?
Thanks for a great collection of tools and for a great forum.

No, it is a limitation of the DICOM standard (if you like :-). Here's the relevant excerpt from PS 3.3-2009 section C.10.5.1.2:
If Graphic Type (0070,0023) is POINT, then two values (one point) shall be specified and the single point specified is to be drawn.

My fault

Thanks a lot for a fast and precise answer. My fault. I am using the 2007 revision of the DICOM standard and can confirm that the exact same sentence is in that version as well.
Sorry and thanks again :-)
