Hi all,
I recently installed dcmtk and mainly the imagectn to recive dicom images from another system. It receives the images and stores in the COMMON directory but changes the file name and also seems to have changed some header and my software that is supposed to use these images could not read them.
Is there a way in imagectn to receive images and store them 'as it is' without changing the file name, format etc.
regards
Paul

As the filename is not transmitted "imagectn" cannot preserve it (see DICOM storage service for details).
For the other part of your question: try option +B (--bit-preserving). Nevertheless, your software should be able to read the images since the changes are regarded as non-significant according to the DICOM standard.
