#1 Post by hesham »

Where can I found information about the E_TransferSyntax enumerator
I need this information to be able to adjust compressor parameters if transfer syntax will use this compressor.
Your help will be so much appreciated

File dcmdata/include/dcmtk/dcmdata/dcxfer.h would be a start.
A transfer syntax in DICOM is equivalent to a set of encoding rules that describe how a DICOM data set is converted into a stream of bytes. The rules on image compression are part of the transfer syntax, i.e. some transfer syntaxes require image data to be compressed using a certain compression scheme.
