storescu slow, Constructing Associate RQ PDU

I am sending DICOM images to another location using the storescu command line tool. The images transfer correctly but the transfer takes a very long time even for a single image (approx 2-3 minutes). When I execute the following command:

(Followed by a lot more output, but everything works from this point down and things happen very quickly)

What am I missing. I have tried adjusting the length of the PDU. That has not help.

Any advice or ideas would be apperciated.
